hi my name is jasper and i was wondering if games such as platformers do it well on this platform i am new in game development and was hoping to drop an game in about a year if anyone could help me out it would be very nice!
Not the answer you would like to hear, but you should make the games you want to make. If that game is a platformer, go for it! I don’t know if this would be your first game but if it is, I would suggest entering some game jams first. That way you can get a bit of a feeling of how it is to finish a game and gain some exposure (if that is something you would like of course) and feedback in the meantime.
But to answer your question a little more specific, sure platformers can do well on itch.io. But then again, any game can do well if it’s fun and creative. Itch.io is just a platform after all and there are a lot of different types of people on here who play and make different types of games. I think you will always find an audience if you persist long enough, but should not necessarily be your end goal. Just have fun making games and just go for it!
What an intuitive and easy-to-play puzzle game! (The first key puzzle felt difficult when I first played it, but looking at it now, it’s much clearer.)
It was so much fun that new elements were added each time I unlocked a key! My friend’s mouse cursor!! ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
follow the order of the numbers in he first room (like you're writing out something), look for a number in the layout of the maze, and the last one is on the number display
i found it (i didnt take into account that the order of numbers in the room right before the keycode was in the shape of numbers that existed in the code). thx guys!
It reminded me a little of Minishoot Adventures, in how it was a kinda explorey Zelda-like but with completely different moment to moment gameplay. And you’re a triangle.
Also…
Struggling with invert mode?
Try holding your mouse upside down :)
Amazing little puzzle game, from the master of puzzles! Smart foreshadowing on a few rooms, and an absolutely nasty trick at the end, which will make you go “AHAAAAAAA” when you find that.
Graphics were simple, but cute and charming, I kinda wish we had more to do with the pencil and eraser.
Music and sfx are nice, that said, the repetitive nature of the sfx when the green clicks away at the 999 is too much for me.
Very fun game, and enjoyed it till the end. I also love one of the functions/things also served some puzzle purpose, that I kind of knew it coming. Still, again, a very fun bit sized cursor adventure. Pretty great pixel craftsmanship, and chiptuning, even the climax levels felt satisfying.
how do u pack so much storytelling and make me care for this world in such a small package. hope u do more of this world, but im still looking for the code in room 4😼
Hint 2
Each of the rooms has a hint to a digit.
The left one might be a little tricky to figure out.
Hint 3
What did you do to unlock the door in the left room?

Super well made!
Surprising from beginning to end! This is incredibly well done.
I loved that one moment where you had to go to settings
Didn't even know how to do the last puzzle so I just looked behind the scribbles and put in the code lol... the actual solution is pretty cool though.
a genius little game! i hope you make more like it!
so likw whats the code🌚
549
the first one is 5 because its the pattern you draw in the level before
Each digit of the code represents a solution to the three previous puzzles.
yes that was hard to figure, was about to brute force it :D
Did some art all over the place!

as long as you put effort in a project every game can succeed

Bug: im softlocked after pressing "reset char"
bruh im literally stuck on the fourth room with the keypad (the 3 digits in the last 3 rooms definitely do not help me either)
yeah, how are you supposed to figure out the code?
follow the order of the numbers in he first room (like you're writing out something), look for a number in the layout of the maze, and the last one is on the number display
i found it (i didnt take into account that the order of numbers in the room right before the keycode was in the shape of numbers that existed in the code). thx guys!
Hints are very vague, but they are in the rooms you were before
I just know that I had to brute force the first one, last 2 were easy
This screenshot tells how much I enjoyed this game
Long time since I was this fascinated by a videogame.
Fun! Clever!

Very nice little puzzles.
Well done!
This was adorable! I loved figuring it all out ♥
Wow, that was awesome
Absolutely delightful. When green was doing his thing, I felt the camaraderie and urgency of rescuing the others.
Would love to see this little group go on a larger adventure :)
Very cute short game! I'm ashamed i needed the hint for the first puzzle, but I'm glad I did so I could get through the rest. Very cute and fun!

Definitely my favorite game from this edition of the JAM. A beautiful, precious, and well-made masterpiece. Hats off to you. Definitely first place.
Really neat and cute game! ❤️

Amazing game, the inverted mouse got me stuck a for few minutes, congrats!
I loved this, was a generally fun time all around! :)

finished the game but the upside down hole has me stumped
Finished the game.
Any hints for the five-letter password to free the blue cursor?
Hint
The input device can give its own hints.Input device?
the keypad, sorry.
Better hint?
You don't need to leave the room to figure out the combination. Everything you need is in there. One of the other cursor draws it in the room below
Really good! I had a bit of trouble with a few but the last puzzle was really fun
This one got me smiling like smiling like a child
Really fun!
But getting late and ... Hopefully I am not stuck... getting the er, left one last..... hope pause works :D
Finished, was a good play.
very nice little game! the one puzzle at the end really had me stumped for a minute
Lovely short game, the last coin threw me for a loop for a bit

same
Hint
You can find hints to the code in the previous 3 rooms.Easier said than done.
I feel so dumb because I absolutely can’t find the code, even with this hint
Hint 2
Each of the rooms has a hint to a digit. The left one might be a little tricky to figure out.Hint 3
What did you do to unlock the door in the left room?Ok, I finally got it… Thanks for the many hints!
I still have no idea. Would you (or somebody else) please post the answer, just so I can maybe understand what I'm missing?
1/3 answer
the room with the 6 buttons required pressing the buttons in a certain order. that order's path is in the shape of a number.
